Gillio Amica Review (by Jill Yamada-Murota)
This is a review of the medium sized Gillio Amica in dark brown. Why did I choose the Amica? There were three main reasons for choosing this binder. First, it's a Gillio and who can resist quality leather and craftsmanship? Secondly, I needed a binder that could hold my Franklin Covey inserts comfortably. Third, the Amica is a beautiful binder and brightens up my day whenever I look at it.
Why do I love this binder so much? Could it be the dark, decadent, chocolate color or its squishy, yet firm shape or its oval shaped rings? Honestly? I love everything about it.
The details, the stitching, the smell. Oh, that intoxicating smell takes my breath away.
Aside from the feel and smell, this binder is also very functional. Let's talk about pockets. There are two secretarial pockets on the inside front cover, along with three card slots and a bigger slot beneath that to hold business cards or anything of your choosing. These pockets are awesome for reminders, post-its, stickers or bills that need to go out thatday. The possibilities are endless!
The inside of the back cover also has a big secretarial flap making this the perfect binder for me. So much space for extra note cards, schedules, etc.
I must say that I am extremely happy and satisfied with this binder. I am not one to change my binders often but I do have my eye on other colors. This will definitely not be my last purchase from Gillio.
