Gillio Meetup 2025: a recap!

Safari, vintage vibes and a big Gillio family day at Pairi Daiza!

What a day. On October 4, World Animal Day, we gathered with Gillionaires from all over the world in Pairi Daiza. Some of you came from just around the corner, others flew in from as far as the US and even China. Seeing familiar faces again after two years, and meeting new ones, reminded us once more why this community is so special.

The big moment was the reveal of our Safari Collection. Elephant, zebra, giraffe, leopard and flamingo… they all made their entrance on different model planners, intelligent wallets and even the surprise new model, the Appunto Pocket. But this was more than just animal inspiration. With this collection we are proud to support Food For Rhinos, a South African non-profit that protects black and white rhinos, including orphans, from extinction. Every Safari planner sold helps feed, care for and safeguard these incredible animals. Also: the breathtaking pictures of this collection were shot at Laluka in South-Africa, who were generous enough to host us for this unforgettable collection shoot.

Of course, that was not the only surprise. We brought back the much-loved Vintage Collection in Latte, Mokka and Espresso, recreated with old-school tanning techniques and finished with contrast stitching. A little nod to our heritage, and a big hit with the Gillionaires in the room.

And because no meetup is complete without some goodies, new small leather goods joined the line-up. Pen straps, luggage tags, key holders… sustainable pieces made from leftover leather, because we hate waste just as much as you do.

Just when everyone thought it was over, we pulled a classic Gillio move with the one more thing. The brand-new Mini Mia Cara Crossover made its debut, and was instantly crowned our Planner of the Year 2025. A hands-free, crossbody take on our iconic Mia, available in unicolour and bicolour and later also in Safari leathers. Attendees could already purchase almost everything on the spot, but the new collections will only become officially available later in 2025 and in 2026.

Beyond the reveals, the day was about reconnecting. Laughs on the bus ride, selfies by the fountain, sharing stories over coffee, and that feeling of belonging to a family that spans continents.
